How We Define Complementary Care

COMPLEMENTARY = Mutually making up what is lacking. That which completes or brings to perfection.

Complementary care is comprised of many different disciplines, belief systems, practices, and philosophies. Complementary care often extends beyond the standards of conventional medicine, which typically aims to diagnosis, treat, cure, or alleviate symptoms, to help individuals by offering a holistic view of health and individualized process of self healing. In this view, individuals are treated within the realms of mind, body, spirit, social, and environmental components.

Thus, TRP defines complementary care such that all realms of your well-being are attended to. This includes addressing a full spectrum of lifestyle and dietary practices, as well as recognizing the value of your support system. Social support and relationships are at the heart of TRP's beliefs and values. As many complementary therapies contain the philosophy that everything is interconnected, we find that we are intrinsically bound by our relationships.

TRP aims to provide a space for you to connect, nurture, expand, develop, and sustain your health and wellbeing.

TRP’s complementary care services embrace personalized methods of healing tailored to your specific needs. These include:

  • Practitioner-based “Complementary Alternative Medicine” (or CAM) therapies, such as acupuncture, energy healing, reflexology, psychotherapy, and massage, among others.
  • “Image Enhancement” therapies. Image Enhancement therapies lie beyond conventions of CAM and are simply intended to help you feel good. TRP recognizes that boosting and sustaining good feelings in your life is fundamental to your healing. These services might include personalized shopping and a make-over to aid in your process of adjusting to a new body and/or look due to the effects of treatment such as weight gain/loss and hair loss.

*The complementary care services suggested by TRP are NOT INTENDED TO REPLACE YOUR STANDARD MEDICAL CARE. ALWAYS CONSULT YOUR PHYSICIAN BEFORE BEGINNING ANY NEW TREATMENTS OR MAKING ANY DIETARY OR LIFESTYLE ADJUSTMENTS.

Complementary Care...Feeling, Being, Believing. Emerging in LOVE.
